Our philosophy

Our philosophy is unique and straightforward.

We locate our BB’s Coffee & Muffins cafés in high footfall areas where customers want them and we are the only retailer in the UK & Ireland that has been focussing solely on shopping centre locations. As a result we have achieved a good level of brand awareness throughout the country.

By locating in only high footfall areas we eliminate the competitive fluctuations that are common in high street locations where an unlimited number of competitors can open nearby. Thereby creating an instant ‘captured’ audience to whom the BB’s Coffee & Muffins brand can be delivered.

Our product offer is also unique to us. Our hand mixed muffins and freshly filled baguettes are prepared and baked daily in all of our cafes and will always be sold that same day and our freshly ground premium coffees, indulgent smoothies and milkshakes will be made specifically to order.

Franchisees also have the opportunity to stock New Zealand Natural premium ice cream, sorbets and frozen yoghurts. It’s delicious and 100% natural. It is manufactured in New Zealand to its own exclusive recipes from the finest New Zealand dairy products. We serve it in cones, cups and sundaes as well as using it in our iced coffees, smoothies and milkshakes.

This philosophy has enabled the BB’s Coffee & Muffins brand to be widely recognised by customers throughout the UK and Ireland and be instantly associated with quality, choice and value in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Our retail environments - store & module types

Being flexible is key to our success.

Shopping centre locations have suited the business strategies that have made BB’s Coffee & Muffins the successful café operator that we are.

However, not every location is suitable for a café that seats from 40 to over 100 customers and some shopping centres cannot accommodate large format stores. So, whilst a shopping centre may fit in terms of our selection criteria and we know that BB’s Coffee & Muffins should be there, we have to be confident that we will be able to provide just the right fit and that’s where flexibility is key.

BB’s Coffee & Muffins have developed formats for large stores that sit 100 or more customers to smaller ones that provide seating for less than 20. We have developed visually enticing coffee cart or pod designs that make effective use of space and an ideal complement to any mall or indeed any other fixed BB’s unit in a high footfall area.

So if there’s a shopping centre location that is just right for us, we will make sure that there’s a BB’s coffee & Muffins store format to fit.
